Update

Hi everyone! Just a little update from us at The Second Breakfast Company.

Thank you everyone who came to see us in Love Bites, which took place at Centre 42’s Late Night Texting! We had a lot of fun putting up the show, and hope YOU had as much fun watching. We would also like to thank our friends at Centre 42 for that wonderful opportunity!

We are currently gearing up for our upcoming double weekend in November. That’s right, two of our latest projects will converge in the same weekend! First up, our second installment for this year’s Main Season, The Old Woman and the Ox, happening 15 – 17 November at Gateway Theatre Black Box. Written by Isaiah Christopher Lee, the new play will feature a splendid cast of young actors, lighting designed by Jim Chan, a set designed by Edward Eng and sound designed by Mark Benedict Cheong. Tickets will go up really soon on Sistic, so keep a look out!

The Hawker, written by Aslam Shah, has been in development with us for a year, and we are excited to premiere it at the Asian Youth Theatre Festival on 18 November, 10.30am at Republic Polytechnic! The play discusses very relevant issues like vanishing landmarks and our sense of belonging. Returning 2BCo alumna Tan Hui Er (The Wedding Pig) and Lynn Chia (The Moon is Less Bright) will direct. As they get the show ready, you can definitely get your tickets to The Hawker at the Festival website. You can also join us for a B-Boying workshop conducted by Dominic Nah – our dramaturg for The Moon is Less Bright – and our friend Michael Ng. See you at the Festival!

Last but not least, we hope you like our new and improved website! 😀 Tell your friends!
