The Team

Adeeb Fazah

Artistic Director

Adeeb studied Theatre Studies and Drama at the A Levels and completed a minor in Drama and Performance at Nanyang Technological University where he majored in Communication Studies. In 2014, his work on the reconstruction of Yellow Chair Productions’ original piece You Think, I Thought, Who Confirm? earned him a mention in Timeout Singapore’s Rising Stars in the article ‘30 Things We Love About Theatre in Singapore’. Adeeb has also contributed to his school through his directing work for some of the productions he was involved with, like the restoration comedy The Beaux’ Stratagem and self-written Singaporean comedy Eighth Storey.

Upon graduation, Adeeb has since collaborated with Mohammad Shaifulbahri from Bhumi Collective on two projects; the first being an international work that took Adeeb to the United Kingdom – Last of Their Generation. It received a one-night preview at the Bunker Theatre in London, and a 10-days run at the Edinburgh Fringe in Zoo Southside. The project is slated to be reworked and premiered in Singapore in 2019. In 2018, he worked on an interdisciplinary project under Bhumi with collaborators Dominic Nah, Michael Ng and Edward Eng titled dead was the body till i taught it how to move. Adeeb and Shaiful also run an independent theatre outfit named Adeeb & Shai, under which they presented the Singapore premiere of Fringe hit Lemons, Lemons, Lemons, Lemons, Lemons by Sam Steiner.

His role as artistic director of The Second Breakfast Company has seen him direct shows ranging from Singapore classics like Goh Poh Seng’s The Moon Is Less Bright, to original works like Myle Yan Tay’s Lemmings which was runner up in the youth category for the 2014 24-Hour Playwriting Competition.

Adeeb is currently an artist-in-residence at Gateway Theatre, and is a contract drama instructor with Toy Factory Productions.

Kristine Ng

Producer

Kristine’s experience with theatre started at Yellow Chair Productions (YCP) and it’s surprising to look back at how opportunities and people she met at YCP have led to the start of The Second Breakfast Company. Though still a long way ahead for this young company, Kristine is looking forward to greater challenges and for its individuals alike to grow together. Having graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts with a BA (Hons) in Arts Management, Kristine recognises that an arts administration role is critical for the development of all art forms. She is also interested in the local visual arts scene, and was recently involved with Singapore Art Week.
